Position Summary

The Trade Specialist is responsible for exceeding sales plan in the local trade area and creating a thriving customer community. Activities include networking with area trade associations, neighborhood associations, sales prospecting and providing a level of service that builds relationships. Acts as a trade liaison with all retail trade customers, as well as a regional brand advocate within the community. This position also acts as a Key Holder for the retail store, with responsibilities that include opening/closing the store, overseeing sales staff, monitoring customer service levels, and driving the overall business.

Specific Responsibilities

* Develops, manages and grows the trade customer base in a defined client segment and geographic region of the retail store.
* Exceeds sales plan for trade for the retail store.
* Tracks results using Sales Force Management.
* Achieves goals for contacts and new to file trade customer additions.
* Identifies area home, neighborhood, preservation and other associations to reach out to and build a connection with.
* Develops and executes events that drive traffic and position Rejuvenation as a resource.
* Promotes Rejuvenation products and services to prospective and existing trade clients through a combination of opportunities that include in-store service, telephone contacts, site visits, and in-store events trainings and trade shows.
* Builds and maintains extensive knowledge base of building activity within retail trade area.
* Builds and maintains long term relationships with members of the trade by providing exceptional and personalized service and systemized follow-ups of existing and potential clients.
* Identifies and promotes opportunities to connect Rejuvenation within the community.
* Works with store sales associates to provide timely trade related information, and to assist other sales associates with identifying potential trade prospects and customers.
* Builds strong connections with Call Center and National Trade, to leverage resources and build overall trade businesses.
* Supports and advocates Rejuvenation trade programs, interacting with Rejuvenation trade colleagues
* Participates in all Trade related company meetings and conferences.
* Fullfills responsibilities in supporting the store as a Key Holder to include performing actions requiring supervisor authorization, store opening/closing duties, and performing general Manager on Duty tasks in the absence of the General Manager

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Excellent written and verbal communications (public speaking required) and problem solving skills.
* Strong aptitude for customer service and sales, with a high energy "can do" approach.
* Computer literacy to include competency in DAX, Sales Force Management and POS systems, with solid foundation in spreadsheets and word processing applications.
* Excellent time management and organizational abilities
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Strong product and procedural knowledge specific to remodeling and building trades, with emphasis on period residential and commercial materials, design, and construction.
* Prior retail sales/retail managment preferred.
* 2-3 years outside sales experience with a strong emphasis in customer service and delivery of set goal plan
