Job Summary

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will be responsible for leading the QA activities of Williams Sonoma supply chain applications. The position is responsible for adhering to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards, overseeing and/or participating in all aspects of release testing, overseeing deployments to QA test environments, providing technical and functional guidance to team members, and ensuring schedule adherence for assigned projects. The candidate is a star QA player with a very strong communication skill having an ability to clearly articulate the QA position in tight release schedules.


* Participates in requirement and use case review sessions
* Provides estimates for QA resources and testing schedules
* Creates and gains approval on project test plans and test cases
* Leads and coordinates the defect triage process and adheres to test schedules
* Oversees the QA planning and execution
* Develops process improvement plans using a variety of Quality and Continuous Process Improvement tools
* Ensures adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards
* Provides daily and weekly QA status reports


Qualifications and Skills:

* 5-7 years of software quality assurance experience
* 3-5 years' experience testing functionality related to Purchase order flow, Supply chain planning processes and Logistics Planning (IBM Sterling, RMS and Manhattan PkMS)

Required Skills:

* Experienced in large scale enterprise release with multiples cross functional integrated application
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
* Demonstrated effective coordination and analytical skills
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Hands-on experience on using industry standard software QA tools (QAC, HP ALM, Jira)
* Strong knowledge of a SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing in an agile environment
* Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills
