You will work hand in hand daily with merchants, copy, marketing and your fellow designers to support marketing initiatives. This role will work on a variety of digital formats, ranging from daily emails to site experiences and everything in-between. You will have ownership over design solutions for daily promotions to longer-term campaign based projects in a reactive business--proposing quick creative solutions is a must!

Partner closely with Art Directors to create seasonal digital guidelines that allow the team to be nimble and efficient in-season. Work collaboratively and a cross channels with other creative teams to align on seasonal executions and campaigns. You should have the ability to think outside the box and propose solutions that are rooted in digital first thinking i.e.: motion, functionality, experience, mobile.

You should be a confident designer who is ready to partner with Art Directors and UX and learn from a focused business environment, that aspires to provide a great customer experience and have an impact on communities.

Essential Functions:
* Work with the Creative team to develop exceptional interactive and graphic design solutions for all West Elm digital experiences including, but not limited to: website (homepages and site experiences, mobile applications, email blasts (EDM), digital advertising (canvas ads to banners).
* Ability to work independently, including partnership, communication and collaboration with necessary partners.
* Work closely with project managers and merchants to obtain all relevant information, technical requirements and timelines for each project.
* Support Art Directors in concepting & executing seasonal concepts.
* Partner with Art Directors and cross channel designers to ensure alignment in-season.
* Maintain brand aesthetic across all West Elm's digital channel.
* Pattern the competitive market and propose new ideas for layouts and functionality. Stay abreast of tehcniological advancements in the online retail space and support innovative thinking.
* Develop identity and collateral for brand-expanding initiatives.
* Identify areas of opportunity and propose solutions.
* Ensure deadlines are met; can balance long-term and short-term projects simultaneously. Manage time and prioritize daily workload.
* Complete projects both independently or in partnership with other designers.
* Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the creative and production process.

* 3-4 years' experience designing for web and digital media
* Understanding of customer experience & best practices for desktop and mobile
* Excellent typography skills
* Be comfortable delivering and slicing your own creative & communicating to developers.
* Strong eye for photography, composition/cropping--maintaining consistency across a variety of formats.
* Fluent in Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
* Sketch, HTML/CSS experience a plus
* Ecom experience a plus
* Photo experience a plus
