Position Summary

The Visual Project Manager for Store Development and Design is responsible for overseeing the visual design of new stores and translating the visual direction for the brand. This position will partner with the Merchandising, Store Development, Retail, and Creative teams to develop compelling store presentations to maximize sales, brand synergy, and to drive brand growth. This role will be responsible for managing all projects related to the execution of all visual projects.

Specific Responsibilities

* Manage, plan and organize visual aspects of all new store development and store remodels in collaboration with cross functional Creative business partners and Store Development team
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of brand business acumen and relationship to visual merchandising to influence brand vision and drive sales.
* Develop and execute seasonal concepts for visual, collaborating with cross functional Creative business partners on new seasonal floor plans.
* Collaborate with Creative team to develop visual materials.
* In collaboration with store development team and management, identify, order and plan fixtures for new stores and remodels.
* Partners with cross functional creative team to create brand synergy
* Oversee and direct the day to day activities and priorities of direct report Visual team members, setting expectations and providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.

* Responsible for managing and overseeing the Visual department budget, ensuring that the best product is being yielded for the best price, identifying appropriate vendors, and allocating resources appropriately to meet budget expectations.
* Obtain the necessary buy in and approvals from key stakeholders.

* Review and improve upon existing processes to help empower stores to carry out the brand's creative vision.


* 2-3 years prior visual merchandising experience. Prior experience in home décor/furnishings preferred.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to manage numerous projects, tight turnaround times, scheduling conflicts, revisions and technical challenges effectively.
* Demonstrated expertise with Macintosh Computers, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively when needed. Demonstrates strong initiative, ownership, follow through, and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail when proofreading collateral.
* Prior retail experience and interest in retail/design preferred
* Some travel is required
