JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Retail Performance Manager provides guidance and leadership needed to grow and manage the WSI family of brands with our franchise partners. This individual will work with our corporate brand teams and our franchise partners to ensure our short and long term objectives are met. In addition, this role will be instrumental in developing our standardized processes and tools to effectively on-board new franchise partners. Key areas of focus include coaching to drive store results, standardizing on-boarding tools and documents, recommending enhancements to operational processes, and eliminating barriers to performance excellence. This role reports to the Vice President, Global Retail Performance and is based in San Francisco.

Specific Responsibilities

* In collaboration with each brand and franchise partner, develop and implement plans that help each organization achieve its financial and growth objectives. Accountability includes the following:

* sales generation and service performance
* operational excellence
* On-brand visual standards
* Develop and document on-boarding tools and resources to ensure a successful launch for new franchise partners.
* Train our franchise partners in all aspects of our business including brand strategies, standards and performance measures and provide on-going coaching to ensure optimal performance.
* Regularly visit franchise stores to ensure compliance with standards, offer coaching on selling opportunities and provide product and related training.
* Share WSI best practices for retail operations including systems and processes, communications tools, and training. Jointly identify and implement initiatives that will lead to continuous improvement and efficiency of the franchise operations.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an accomplished executive with a track record of success managing a global, multi-brand business, preferably in a retail company with a high profile consumer brand. This individual is adept at working in a matrix organization that is geographically dispersed. She/he knows how to build collaborative relationships that foster trust and values differences inherent in a multi-cultural environment.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

* Four-year college degree required

* A thorough understanding of the specialty retail industry including merchandising, inventory management, store operations, profitability requirements and other metrics

* A minimum of 10 of years progressively responsible management experience in multi-brand retail organizations

* Ability and flexibility to travel globally without restriction and for extended periods
* A track record of achieving and exceeding business results

Able to work through complex disagreements and conflict to achieve resolution. Builds trust by including others and by keeping the cross-functional teams focused on the common objectives.
