Job Description

Willamette University announces a full-time exempt position for a Network Administrator within the department of Willamette Integrated Technology Services (WITS).

The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, security, maintenance and support of university networks, network infrastructure and telephony systems. The incumbent provides network and systems support for other WITS staff and the university at large. The Network Administrator shares the responsibility for the successful operation of the systems and network devices which provide network infrastructure in an environment of over 2000 users. Works alone and as a team-member on a wide variety of projects that have a direct impact upon the university. Provides end-user support and troubleshooting for escalated service-related issues. Involves some contact with students, faculty and staff as well as with individuals and organizations outside of the university.

Incumbent may be required to travel locally and nationally in the performance of job functions, and may be required to carry a pager or cellular telephone and be available for emergency support and after-hours scheduled maintenance.

This position is eligible for the University's generous benefits package that includes: medical/dental insurance, sick and vacation accruals, retirement contribution of 10% of gross base pay from the University in exchange for a mandatory retirement contribution of 1% by the employee, tuition remission, and holidays.

Salary is commensurate with education, experience and background.
