Job Description:

The team… The Business Intelligence Operations and Support Team supports multiple systems which enable Whole Foods Market Inc. to keep track of operational and financial performance on a daily basis. We are a collaborative group of 3 team members that work closely with each other, with our delivery teams, infrastructure teams, and our product owners to ensure that high quality support is provided to our business partners.

The position… We are looking for a Support Analyst to join our team with an opportunity to learn and support all aspects of business intelligence, from data loading and data troubleshooting to reporting. This role will have a primary operational and support focus working with our Teradata data warehouse. Our new team member will work in a positive, supportive team manner with other analysts, developers, and our business partners to resolve technical issues, and design technical solutions for support needs.


Investigate and resolve issues with production data loads in a timely manner.
Monitor and respond to daily health-check/system status e-mails.
Resolve data load job and production problems. If unable to resolve issues, follow-up includes documenting issue clearly for escalation to developers.
Log, investigate, and track technical/data issues raised by business partners/users.
Act as a customer issue resolution contact and take ownership of problems.
Liaison with development team in order to relay impactful support issues requiring remediation by the development team.
Support system deployments.
Liaison with development team to transition new deployments into a production-support mode.
Write technical articles and documentation.

Qualifications: Desired Skills and Talent:

2-4 years of experience in an enterprise software environment.
2-4 years of experience in SQL.
Data trouble shooting.
Understanding of relational databases.
Basic understanding of application interface technologies.
Positive attitude toward delivering excellent customer service to business partners.
Takes ownership, follows issues through to completion.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple problems simultaneously, work under deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills, has the ability to acquire new skills quickly, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Be part of an after-hours on call rotation.
A "fire in the belly" and a desire to learn and excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree related to Computer Science.
Previous Experience with Teradata, Scripting (BTEQ or similar), Informatica, and/or SQL.
