Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for Program Manager, Engineering for our Whirlpool Engineering Rotational Leadership Development group in Benton Harbor, MI to join our Global Human Resources organization. This position provides sourcing and selection leadership and support for recruiting initiatives (e.g. campus, experienced recruitment).

Job Responsibilities

* Partner with leadership teams to execute the strategic direction for these functional leadership development programs.
* Provide input to University Relations on hiring targets (both full-time and intern) and functional recruiting champions; assist with on-campus events and interviews as needed; and coordinate business leader involvement in second round interviews
* Work with business leaders to determine roles for intern and full-time hires
* Design and deliver functional orientation for intern and full-time hires
* Work closely with Steering Committee to manage the rotation process and work closely with people leaders on development plans for full-time hires
* Work closely with Steering Committee, HR and functional leadership to drive rigorous talent management of the LDP population
* Focus on development and retention activities for both full-time and intern program participants
* Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to LDPs, and ensure that LDPs are paired with appropriate functional mentors
* Drive enhancements to the functional curriculum path, and contribute to improvements to the overall LDP curriculum plan
* Assist with deployment and embedment of overall LDP/early career strategy
* Actively engage with other Program Managers (information requests, best practice sharing, etc.)
* Collaboratively work with the Talent Community of Expertise (CoE) and other leadership development programs to ensure consistency and quality of programs.
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree
* 5+ years experience in Human Resources or general management

Preferred Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management
* Assessment and interview training and experience
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively influence others (LDPs, peers, and senior leaders)
* Enthusiasm for junior talent and the desire to shape future leaders
* Execution skills (organization, project management)
* Strong team player
