Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Direct and manage the plant operations with focus on operational excellence in production, continuous improvement, quality, on-time delivery, and inventory levels
  • Surveillance of plat 5S, safety and ergonomic standards
  • Work with production control in scheduling daily/weekly production
  • Continuously seek and implement cost and waste reduction
  • Support sales and engineering team to meet on time launch of new products and improvements
  • Identify, develop, and lead in order to maximize individual, team, and operational effectiveness
  • Lead and support team performance with a culture of accountability. Engage the workforce to maximize plant performance
  • Facilitate and enforce company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined
  • Conduct appropriate performance reviews, and personnel development in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Verifies that all methods and operation procedures are followed and effective training programs are maintained
  • Assures that preventative maintenance schedules, activities, and records are managed effectively and are kept current
  • Demonstrates strong leadership by leading by example


  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a manufacturing field is preferred
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years of experience supervising multiple individuals or teams
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and 5S, safety procedures
  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing a safe and environmentally sound work environment
  • Experience in and working knowledge of ISO/FDA systems
  • Experience with medical and industrial assembly processes required
  • Data driven decision making
  • Ability to develop, track, analyze, and report/communicate on appropriate operational metrics
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Root cause problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers and suppliers
  • Understand production planning concepts
  • Possess a working knowledge of assembly manufacturing, materials, maintenance, quality programs, continuous improvement, 5S,TPM, safety programs, and managing budgets and expenditures
  • Proficient computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft
