Job Description

Overview

Launch your career with Western Alliance Bank in our 2019 Summer Internship Program! You'll have the opportunity to work on some challenging issues and be empowered, collaborative and enjoy your passion with other talented interns. You will gain real-life experiences in your chosen field and participate in professional development activities.

The internship program begins June 10, 2019 and ends August 16, 2019 (varied depending on schedules of each intern). Over the 10 weeks of the program, you will participate in business projects, mentoring, leadership development and team building activities designed to set you up for professional success and most importantly, learn what it is like to work here at Western Alliance Bank.

We have paid internships available including:

* Commercial Finance and Business Banking
* Branch Operations
* Internal Audit and Accounting
* Marketing
* Legal
* Risk and Compliance
* Information Technology
* Human Resources

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be assigned a mentor and a real project that will benefit the bank and provide real-world experience in your specific area of study. Our Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides invaluable experiences to apply the knowledge and skills learned through your education. Western Alliance Bank hires the best and brightest from our intern cohorts. You may receive an offer of employment or asked to return the next summer for another internship!

Qualifications

* Candidate must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate program that is in a related field of study.(Prefer that you are entering into your Junior or Senior year in the Fall 2019)
* GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
* Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
* An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry
