Job Description

Mental Health Team Coordinator: Performs on-going casework activities to assist individuals in gaining access to medical, social, vocational, educational, and other needed services. Serves as Single Accountable Individual (SAI) for caseload of clients and will be responsible for the completion of all mental health assessments and Recovery Plan development; service linkage; coordination of clinic services; monitoring; advocacy; crisis resolution; and liaison services. Duties of the position will require frequent interactions with individuals served, their families, and other service providers. Requires flexible hours, involves extensive paperwork, and will require self-directed performance. Travel and the use of a personal vehicle may be required. Must have a valid Texas drivers license and a driving record that is acceptable for insurability through the Centers insurance carrier. $19.79 hour $1583.08 bi weekly 41,160 Located in Monhanas.

Mental Health Rehabilitation Provider: Employee will perform psychosocial rehabilitation and skills training services to reduce the symptoms of and disabilities of mental illness. Services will be delivered primarily in the community. Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral or human services. Applicant must live within 70 mile radius of duty site. $19.79 hour $1583.08 bi weekly $41,160 annually Work site West Region.

WEST TEXAS CENTERS FOR MHMR is a community center under the provisions of Chapter 534 of the Texas Health & Safety Code Ann., as amended, and serves as the designated local authority for mental health and mental retardation for the established service area. The Center began operations on March 1, 1997 and continues to serve as the designated local authority for mental health and mental retardation through a contractual relationship with the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. We proudly serve the citizens of Andrews, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Fisher, Gaines, Garza, Glasscock, Howard, Kent, Loving, martin, Mitchell, Nolan, Reeves, Runnel, Scurry, Terry, Upton, Ward, Winkler and Yoakum counties. The Center provides a wide array of mental health and mental retardation services in approximately 35 sites across the service area to a monthly average of 2,300 individuals through the dedication of approximately 450 staff. Although administrative offices are located at 319 Runnels, Big Spring, Howard County, Texas, local offices are established throughout most of the catchment area. In addition to services for people with mental illness and mental retardation, the Center is host to an Early Childhood Intervention program that is known as Little Lives ECI Program. This program serves children ages 0-3 years old.
