Job Description

Position Summary

Join a vibrant campus community whose excellence is reflected in its diversity and student success. West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applicants for the position of Assistant Accounts Payable Manager for the Business Services area.

The Assistant Accounts Payable Manager assists the Accounts Payable Manager in the overall management of the Accounts Payable team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the review of Accounts Payable documents and processes related to the timely, accurate payment to vendors, proper vendor file maintenance in accordance with state and Federal regulations, timely reporting of uncashed items for Escheatment, yearend reporting, and audit inquires.

The Assistant Accounts Payable Manager also serves as the primary liaison to the University providing training related to Accounts Payable process and procedures. In addition, is the primary liaison for training for new employees and assists campus end users with ongoing support. Assists with supervision of staff of four (4) Accounts Payable processors. In the absence of the Accounts Payable Manager, performs additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience including supervision of one or more staff members.
* Strong organizational and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel/Word
* Highly proficient with ERP systems such as SAP
* W-9/1099/B Notice/Tin matching training/ experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency in SharePoint or equivalent
* Knowledge of Access
* APM
* WBEN8/1042 reporting is desirable

Special Instructions

Salary is in the low $70's and is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits package including tuition fee waiver for self and dependents. Applicants must successfully complete interview process to be considered as a finalist.
