Job Description

This summer internship is located in Owatonna, MN.  This summer internship position will start on June 5, 2012 and end in August 2012.

Participates in the Wells Fargo corporate Summer Intern Program.  In a 10 to 12 week period, works on 1 to 4 projects and attends events designed to become familiar with the organization.  Events include meetings with senior executives, networking with managers, workshops and social events.


Our summer intern will get to experience all that Regional Banking has to offer through in depth training and experience in the Teller role as well as an overview of Personal Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking and Store Management through one week rotations in each area. This summer intern will also participate in all MN Summer Internship Program events and activities.

In the Teller role, you will introduce customers to new products and services, and generate leads for other members of the sales team to close.  Every Teller has her/his own scorecard with goals.  Our best Tellers constantly go the extra mile to greet customers, make them feel welcome and also engage customers to learn about their financial needs. An excellent Teller processes between 20-25 customer transactions each hour with no mistakes through patience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures. Every Teller is responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer.

In each of the rotational positions, you will interact with and observe our top performers in their daily activities, customer interactions, and coaching sessions. You will also conduct informational interviews with Retail store team members and management. At the end of the internship program, you are expected to present your knowledge and summer experience to the store s leadership team.

Part-time and full-time schedules may vary according to business needs.  Traditional branch business hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m. 7 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. 4 p.m. In-Store branches have extended weekend hours:  Saturday 9 a.m. 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. 4 p.m.   Pay:  10.00/hourly

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.  Wells Fargo does not participate in practical training programs under F-1 visas nor sponsor individuals for purposes of obtaining immigrant or non immigrant visas (H-1B, TN and Green Card).
 Minimum QualificationsEntering Junior or Senior year of college (18 years of age or older)
  One year previous experience interacting with people or customers
  High comfort level using computers
  Demonstrated ability to achieve goals
  Positive attitude
  Reliable attendance
 Preferred SkillsAvailability to work a Part Time schedule during the school year.
  Previous experience selling products and services
  Previous experience meeting customer satisfaction goals
  Previous experience working in a fast paced environment
  Previous cash handling experience
  Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  Professional written and oral communication skills
  Bilingual speakers are encouraged to apply
