Job Description

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS

12 Weeks from May 20- August 9

Paid Internship with Career Development, Experiential Learning, Social Activity and Exposure to Executive Team and Senior Leaders, included during your time as an intern.

The intern will support various projects as assigned to support the operations and performance improvement of the Quality, Provider Relations, and Network Management functions.The intern will also participate in internal and external meetings, and conduct an internal presentation to report out findings on 1 assigned project. The intern will identify a strategic initiative project in conjunction with intern's preceptor that will span throughout the interns tenure with a final presentation to internal teams.

Goals:

* A project that delivers a useful tool, approach, method, or framework to support the planning and/or execution of a strategic initiative in market operations. Present the deliverable to the market leadership team. Include an implementation plan as a part of the deliverable that is handed off the appropriate market Associates.


* Toget exposure to each of the three functions within market operations: ProviderRelations, Network Management, and Quality Improvement. Identify an area andplan for improvement to one process within one of the three departments.


* A summaryof findings for each department (Provider Relations, Network Management, andQuality Improvement) based on interactions with team, attendance to marketmeetings, and review of key processes and procedures.



Candidate Education:

* Required: Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in a college program with a minimum 3.0 GPA or Pass ratings.
* HealthcareManagement, Master Healthcare Administration, Master of BusinessAdministration, Health Policy, Public Health, Management Information Systems,Other business degrees
