Employee Representative HR Business Partner

Job Posting: 03/01/2018 Job ID: R0003531 Location: Westwood, MA Address: Westwood, 169 University Ave Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Days Hours Req: Candidates must be flexible for placement at multiple store locations within Massachusetts. Full time applicants will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be available at least Monday through Saturday throughout the year, including some holidays. Shifts vary and typically include a variety of early mornings, afternoons and evenings. Schedule: Full-time

The Employee Representative is a role model and advocate for Wegmans values and ensures an environment of equal opportunity for all to succeed. In this role, you will be an objective adviser, facilitator, coach and consultant to management and employees, while ensuring HR programs and practices are executed successfully.

  • Build relationships with employees by walking production floors, engaging in conversations, and always being available to help
  • Coordinate and educate employees about programs including medical, dental, 401K/savings, benefit programs, EAP, compensation, disability, worker’s compensation, FMLA, scholarship, and recognition

Results (What We Measure)

  • Advise, coach and educate managers on all aspects of Human Resources practices including staffing, training, development, performance management and compliance
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure we are Hiring the Best
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and Wegmans’ policies, procedures and practices

Work Environment

  • Works involves continuous interaction with co-workers in fast-paced environment
  • Work includes sitting for prolonged periods, along with repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Work requires frequent use of the telephone and computer
  • Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 1 - 5 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 10 pounds occasionally

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience
  • Store Operations experience at the Department Manager level or equivalent

Preferred Skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High level knowledge of retail and the Human Resources industry
  • Potential to advance based on current performance
