Days Hours Req: Part-time employees may work up to 30 hours/week, with shifts ranging between 4 and 8 hours at a time based on department needs. Weekly hours and specific shifts are not guaranteed and we do not offer set schedules. The most successful applicants offer an availability spanning several hours at a time, on multiple days/week. Specific days/hours of work vary by position/department and will generally include weekends. Year-round employment only. Schedule: Part-time

Blue Dalia is a vibrant Mexican restaurant and tequila bar featuring authentic, contemporary Mexican food and craft cocktails prepared with market-fresh ingredients that will be located on the second floor of Wegmans at the Natick Mall.

Ensuring the high quality culinary offerings are delivered to guests in the most efficient and effective way possible is thanks to both culinary and service teams working together. In the role of a Server Assistant, you will be an integral part of this process, communicating with both kitchen staff and servers to ensure orders are brought to customers and the integrity of the food is maintained; assisting servers and expeditors in ensuring all elements of an exceptional dining experience come together by performing tasks to support the team

  • Provide incredible service to guests by delivering dishes prepared by the kitchen to the guests’ tables with a sensitivity to time and an understanding of the importance of maintaining the integrity of the food
  • Maintain the work of the expeditor and assist servers in ensuring food is presented with an exceptional level of detail in keeping with the culinary team’s expectations for such elements as appearance and temperature
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of the work being done by the service group and culinary operations to ensure proactive assistance is provided to both teams
  • Work to ensure a positive guest experience by clearing tables and serving guests in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner with the aim of maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere at every table and providing a reason to return
  • Prepare the dining, bar and event areas for service with exceptional attention to detail; ensuring all areas are clean, organized and well-stocked
  • Prepare things necessary to seamlessly serve our guests including but not limited to polishing glassware and silverware, restocking items, and preparing water and breadbaskets for servers
  • Follow opening, closing and side work check lists to ensures all tasks are completed in prompt and efficient manner
  • Continue to study menu changes and attend beverage classes whenever possible to continue to grow food and beverage knowledge
  • Learn about special events and general restaurant operations to provide support and perform additional tasks as needed

Work Environment

  • Work includes walking, standing for prolonged periods of time without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, frequent lifting and carrying, and occasional heavy lifting, along with continuous interaction with guests and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. Work involves exposure to various work environments, including temperature changes. The average weight range of items lifted is 10-20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).
