Cashier Customer Service

Job Posting: 02/20/2018 Job ID: R0002762 Location: Burlington, MA Address: Burlington, 53 Third Avenue Age Requirement: Must be 15 years or older. Days Hours Req: Preferred availability for this position is Monday through Saturday between the hours of 6am and 12am (Sundays optional). Our existing stores experience busy sales patterns on the weekends. All hourly employees will earn time and one-half on Sunday. Schedule: Part-time

Our Wegmans cashiers make sure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. In this role, you'll provide incredible customer service by engaging customers in friendly conversation, carefully bagging items, and accurately completing monetary transactions. You'll leave a lasting impression and transform first-time shoppers into loyal Wegmans customers!

  • Efficiently and accurately scan items, process payments and provide accurate change
  • Execute Front End initiatives and programs with high standards

Work Environment

  • Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, lifting, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional bending, frequent reaching, moving and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5-12 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 40 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
