Cash Office Customer Service

Job Posting: 01/18/2018 Job ID: R0001353 Location: Westwood, MA Address: Westwood, 169 University Ave Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Days Hours Req: Preferred availability for this position is Monday through Saturday closing until 11pm (Sundays optional). Our existing stores experience busy sales patterns on the weekends. All hourly employees will earn time and one-half on Sunday. Schedule: Part-time

In this area, you'll handle the store's financial matters and protect monetary assets so our departments can serve our customers. Customer (What We Believe)

  • Prepare daily deposits for the bank, verify the previous day’s bank activities, work with cash flow departments to ensure they have enough change, and provide assistance with financial matters
  • Perform hourly pick-ups and readings for the Front End to monitor sales and revenue
  • Assist Front End on register as necessary to ensure customers are receiving incredible service

Results (What We Measure)

  • Balance and maintain money, verify that financials are accounted for and the store’s assets are protected while ensuring confidentiality
  • Prepare tills, monitor payroll accuracy, help solve financial inconsistencies and check for discrepancies, and work with Team Leader to solve problems
  • Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

  • Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, occasional bending and reaching, along with continuous interaction with co-workers in a fast-paced enclosed environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 1-10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 25 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting
  • Experience operating a cash register
