Job Posting: 01/08/2018 Job ID: R0000797 Location: Medford, MA Address: Medford, 3850 Mystic Parkway (Rte. 16) Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Days Hours Req: Full time applicants will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be available Monday through Saturday throughout the year, including some holidays. Sundays are not required but will be paid at time and one half. Shifts vary based on business needs and typically include a variety of early mornings, afternoons and evenings. Schedule: Full-time

The job of the Entry-level Recruiter is to recruit and hire the best external Customer Service candidates for employment by utilizing the applicant tracking system and following hiring the best preferred practices.

Customer (What We Believe)

  • Collaborate with other Recruiters, Staffing Coordinator, HR Manager and Hiring Managers to ensure hiring the best preferred practices are being followed; continuously look for opportunities to improve system and make recommendations when appropriate
  • Work cooperatively with all members of the staffing team to implement staffing plans and activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Hiring Managers to assess actual needs; utilize data, forecasting and other tools to verify current and foresee future staffing needs
  • Collaborate with the staffing team to evaluate recruitment and selection process; recommend revisions when necessary
  • Provide incredible service by communicating to applicants in a timely manner throughout the hiring process, and model the Who We Are values at all times throughout the process

Results (What We Measure)

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative action guidelines and laws (such as Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, etc)
  • Advise business partners on staffing policies and procedures
  • Manage and coordinate all communication, scheduling and logistics between hiring manager and candidates
  • Handle the administrative components involved in the sourcing, selection, offer presentation, negotiating and closing for Customer Service positions
  • Maintain accurate and well documented files on all candidates; including legible, thorough interview notes to ensure a fair and compliant recruitment process
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to efficiently screen and mine candidates to identify those who currently match the Wegmans values as well as the criteria for an open position, and those who have the potential to add value to the organization
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria
  • Administer the technical process of setting up requisitions in the ATS
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to the position; verify certification or other criteria
  • Effectively utilize interview guides, behavioral based questions and interview techniques; probe when necessary to assess for values, skill and availability match for position
  • Interview Part-time and Full-time External Customer Service, including face-to-face behavioral based interviewing; pass appropriate candidates on to hiring manager and HR Representative
  • Offer recommendations to the hiring manager for candidate selection
