Assistant Director, Counseling Center -Waynesburg University
Waynesburg University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Director, Counseling Center. This is a full-time, benefit eligible, 12 month position. Master’s Degree required in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field of study and current licensure required. Prior successful work-related experience and previous supervisory experience in a higher education academic support role desired. Candidates must possess strong organization, communication and computer skills; the ability to work independently and, within a team setting, in a fast paced environment and meet established work deadlines; and be available to work evenings and weekends, as assigned. This position will assist the Director of The Waynesburg University Counseling Center in maintaining an essential resource for Waynesburg University students, faculty, and staff, to provide psychological services to assist students in attaining their educational, academic, career, and personal goals. These services include individual assessment and counseling, crisis service (on-call) system support, group counseling, workshop facilitation, psycho-educational and outreach programming. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
