Job Description

Position entails mainly research and development and the opportunity to work on projects ranging from daily tasks to developing a functioning early stage prototype.


* Hands on work responsible for support in the conceptualization and development of new water solution products
* Develop and establish realistic and obtainable goals using available resources (coworkers, lab, machine shop, budget, etc.)
* Follow a prototype from concept to implementation
* Develop, manage, and administer projects as requested by senior level engineers and collaborate across business workgroups.
* Assist with research, design, evaluation, and product costing for assigned projects.
* Learn about new technologies associated with the design and development of high-volume and mix manufactured products.
* Shadow one or more professionals throughout their duration to understand day-to-day engineering activities and task management against project schedules.
* Learn how design concepts become physical products through our in-house Model Shop.
* Learn how to evaluate design concepts and perform root cause analysis, product pre-production qualification


* Currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at an accredited college.
* Strong record of academic achievement (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)


* An organized approach to problem solving
* Ability to be flexible in work assignments to meet the team's needs
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
* Good technical writing skills
* Analytical skills
* CAD experience is a plus. Autodesk Inventor preferred
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
