Labor Relations Assistant

Washington State University Office of Human Resource Services is seeking a motivated Labor Relations Assistant to join our highly productive and client-driven team in Pullman, WA. Under general supervision, the Labor Relations Assistant will perform a variety of duties in support of Human Resource Services. This position will apply established federal, state, University and human resource guidelines, rules, policies and procedures related to labor relations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: composing, formatting, preparing, proofreading, and editing correspondence, forms, and reports, including legal and confidential materials; maintaining multiple labor relations case schedules and tracking date sensitive actions to ensure timelines are met; creating, organizing and maintaining labor relations and other human resources electronic and paper files and records; providing support in the investigation and resolution of employee grievances, policy violation and other complaints; preparing minutes and meeting notes; responding to requests from employees, supervisors, other departments/divisions, unions and other external entities; providing clerical support in the preparation and conducting of multiple collective bargaining agreement negotiation activities and implementation. This position is frequently exposed to sensitive and confidential information, and must be willing and able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
