Job Description


WB Games Inc. seeks a Software Engineer, Android for our SF Studio. At WBG San Francisco we are bringing some of the most iconic characters and stories to life in the mobile space. We are committed to creating fun and engaging games for our fans and are positioning ourselves to become a top player in mobile.

As a Software Engineer, you will have a key hands-on role in porting the game to Android, implementing key Android plugins and tools, as well as integrating existing libraries and services.

This position requires close collaboration with all other disciplines and, in some cases remote teams, to help develop practical solutions that will bring our games to life on the Android platform. In this position, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the Android product for games coming out of the San Francisco studio as well as other Warner Bros studios. Additionally, you will set and maintain the highest possible quality bar for yourself and the rest of the team.


* Port Unity-based games from various Warner Bros studios to run on Android.
* Performance optimization, shader development and bug-fixing.
* Development of plugins and tools.
* Suggest improvements to porting processes / acquire ability to port to new platforms / acquire ability to port games developed using other engines (Unreal).
* Integrate 3rd party solutions.
* Establishing / refining standards & best practices.
* Review the work of other Gameplay Engineers to ensure adherence to design, patterns and coding standards.
* Other duties as assigned.


* Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience and success.
* At least 1 year of game industry experience.
* Shipped at least 1 mobile/social title, preferably on multiple platforms.
* Unity development experience preferred.
* Expert programming skills in a major object-oriented language such as C#, C++, Java, or Objective-C.
* Experience working with internally and externally developed projects with a large code base.
* Familiarity with software design practices including modular architecture and event-driven architecture.
* Knowledge of shaders and 3D animation systems in Unity is a huge plus.
* Game performance optimization skills are a plus.
* Familiarity with mobile development is a plus.
* Strong problem solving / debugging skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Passion for working on games.
