Purpose/Description:

The purpose of this internship is to allow the student/intern to prepare for their future by applying what was learned during coursework (theory, skill development, professionalism) to the working world. Interns will be provided extensive hands-on experience in their field of study. The intern will work on important and innovative projects alongside our experienced staff in the area of data management and data analytics.

Core Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support to engineers and managers for developing data analysis and data management solutions to improve the operations of the department in providing timely and efficient customer adaptation solutions
* Ensure accurate and timely data analysis and reporting
* Supports critical day to day data analysis and evaluations
* Identifies and follows up on opportunities to improve systems, processes, and measurements for enhancing operational performance
* Compiles data used to measure and monitor group or department performance

* Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generated before passing it on
* Communication: Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably, and actively seeking feedback non-defensively

* Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments

Minimum Education and Experience:

* Must be currently pursuing a degree and remain fully enrolled in program during the duration of the internship and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
* Summer Interns are required to work 40 hours or less per week.
* Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
* Preferred Degrees- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
* Prefer a motivated Junior or Senior in good academic standing
