JOB TITLE:                  Technical Representative / Trainer

SUMMARY: Responsibilities encompass: create, maintain and instruct Aftermarket Training Curriculums cover technical theory of operation, product troubleshooting/diagnostics, product repair and rebuild and component reuse guidelines. Technical Representative will conduct onsite training classes for Voith service dealers and owner/operators in North America. Support aftermarket service functions, such as answering technical phone calls and e-mails and responding to market specific training requests.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Deliver Training curriculum as described in training outline posted on Road Service web page
  • Maintain Service Provider, Customer and Employee training records
  • Release (provide) service, parts and information bulletins to the aftermarket
  • Assist in the technical writing for manuals and service campaigns
  • Maintain product service manuals
  • Assist in technical questions required by technicians at customer and service provider centers.
  • Oversee and coordinate developments and updates of E-Learnings training programs.
  • Transmission repair (backup)
  • Extensive travel both domestic and international

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Associate Degree in a technical curriculum
  • Preference: 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and ASE L1 or L2 certification preferred.
  • Preference: Strong technical background in automotive transmissions
  • Knowledge of transportation field (automotive or heavy duty truck)
  • Ability to use mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment such as micrometers, calipers, FLUKE meters, etc
  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude.
  • Computer aptitude
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Experience with Basic Microsoft software program (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Helpful to have knowledge of learning management systems
