Job Description

As a social strategy intern, you'll jump right in, contributing great work for a range of amazing clients. You'll help create and execute social media strategies backed by competitive research. You'll learn about social listening, platform determination, messaging, audience identification and more.

If you consider yourself self-motivated and passionate, have a healthy balance of critical and creative thinking, lack fear in the face of data, and are absolutely certain you'd still be cracking good jokes during the zombie apocalypse, then you could be VMLY&R social strategist material.

What You'll Be Doing

* Helping create and execute social media strategy through competitive research, social listening, platform determination, messaging, and audience identification
* Collaborating with the creative team in producing, editing and publishing content that drives engagement from our clients' fan bases
* Moderating social platforms and fielding fan responses
* Helping analyze metrics to determine what's working, what's not and where there are opportunities for something great
* Collaborating with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc.) to manage reputation, identifying key players and coordinating actions
* Staying plugged into industry updates, following the developments from major social platforms and innovative social marketing campaigns

Required Skills & Experience

* Junior, senior, or nontraditional student in college or recent graduate with coursework or experience in a related field
* Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
* Comfort with analyzing data and drawing insights
* Familiarity with (and interest in) current trends in social marketing
* Fluency in English (but knowledge of a secondary language is always awesome)
* A sense of humor, a curious personality and a passionate opinion on whether dogs should have people names such as Paul or Leslie
