As a member of the Visa Facilities team, the building engineer should be a seasoned self-starting technician that is responsible for performing routine facilities and maintenance tasks across a broad range of difficulty with minimal supervision. This technician will be expected to work independently and also assist other team members to successfully complete routine maintenance, construction projects, and other tasks as needed.
General Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Accurately records and reports daily work duties in a clear and complete manner, including the submission of daily activity report at the end of every shift.
Submit payroll time sheets in a timely manner.
Raises and assists in resolving any safety and other work issues promptly with the Supervisor's guidance.
Leads initiatives to use company supplies and materials efficiently. Reduce, reuse, and recycle whenever possible.
Provides training and support aimed at expanding the capabilities of all department staff.
Education / Professional Credentials:
Arc Flash Safety Compliance Certification (70E).
Universal CFC License.
Electrical systems troubleshooting and electrical safety training.
HVAC Systems Maintenance and Troubleshooting Certification, or equivalent experience in related field.
BMS Operator Training.
Pump operation and maintenance training.
Bearing lubrication training.
Shaft alignment training.
7+ years of work experience at facilities engineer level, or related field.
Required Functional Knowledge / Skills:
Expert in reading drawing, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment and maintenance of building structure.
Experienced ability working with building management systems, and basic computer programs.
Experienced ability operating and maintaining air conditioning units, fans, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, air compressors, plumbing, lighting and emergency generators or any other facility required systems.
Capable of performing shaft alignment.
Capable of troubleshooting of advanced issues related to the above equipment and systems.
