Construction, Contracting & Administration Procurement Officer 

Hiring range: $50 - 62,000, POS#0P014. 

The Department of General Services, Division of Engineering & Buildings, Bureau of Facilities Management (BFM), is seeking a Procurement Professional to work in its Construction & Facilities Procurement section. This position will support the Div. in its procurement functions thru development & solicitation of contracts using IFB & RFP processes in accordance w/ state procurement policies & procedures. The incumbent will serve as the contract administrator on BFM contracts, an agency construction & facilities contracting officer, & support & promote supplier diversity in the statewide contracting program. 

Qualifications:

The selected candidate should have considerable experience in developing solicitation documents related to construction & facilities management Experience in construction & facilities needs related to a multi-building complex. Experience working with electronic databases & using automated purchasing systems. Should be efficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Project. The selected candidate will be required to obtain licensure as a Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) & Virginia Construction Contracting Officer (VCCO) within 2 years of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications Degree in related field or equivalent combination of training & experience; familiarity with state procurement policies; experience with eVA procurement system; current professional certificate as a VCO &/or VCCO are preferred. 

Special Requirements:

The selected candidate must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and complete the Statement of Economic Interest upon hire.
