Co-op, Procurement Intern

The Vertex Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. Co-op Program: 6 Month Commitment (January - June 2020), Full Time, 40 Hours/Week

Job Description:

The Procurement intern/co-op will work closely with the Procurement team, AP and various business groups to assist with purchasing, maintenance of purchase orders and customer service. The position provides hands-on experience with all aspects of the Procurement process as well as supplier interaction, supply chain, Accounts Payable, Receiving and full Procure-to-Pay lifecycle.

Procurement intern/co-op to assist with order placement, customer inquiry and PO maintenance.

Qualification:

* Currently enrolled in college/university 2+ years toward major in Accounting, Procurement/Sourcing/Contracting, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related.
* Minimum 3.0+ GPA
* Skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook/Email, customer service and time management
* Ability to multitask
* Energetic
