Job Description

Electrical Engineers work in a variety of roles, including project engineering, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, maintenance supervision and operations. Electrical engineers work in all areas of the mill and work closely with other departments to engineer solutions. The Electrical Engineer will manage/support: capital, maintenance, and mill electrical control system projects. This could include, but not be limited to: Drives, PLC, DCS, Power System, and Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades.

Accountabilities:

* Building effective project teams and aligning objectives with business goals.
* Provide engineering leadership and expertise to accomplish technical alternative reviews, develop sound proposals, implementation and startup of projects.
* Coordinate construction resources to efficiently implement and startup projects.
* Manage multiple projects from conception through completion.
* Provide direction and oversight to contract engineering.
* Provide engineering and technical support to mill operations and maintenance.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving daily electrical/instrumentation problems with the mill's machinery and equipment.
* Provide expertise in the area of computing technology, networked topologies, software tracking and user authentication/profiling.
* Maintain a 5 year capital plan as it relates to drive systems.
* Assist mill areas in developing capital spending plans, including cost estimations and justification.
* Support E&I on-call rotation.

Required Skills

* Strong technical, problem solving, decision-making and computer skills and a demonstrated ability to analyze data
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment
* Ability to handle multiple time sensitive projects and issues
* Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable
* Experience with drives and control systems preferred

Preferred Skills:

* Technical expertise in the area of PLC programming, Motor Control and AC/DC drives
* Experience with electrical power and power distribution
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Comparative intern or coop experience

Required Experience

* BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. (With a Controls Emphasis Preferred)
* Have 3-5 years of related industrial experience
* Can demonstrate effective interpersonal, analytical and technical skills
* Can demonstrate familiarity with multiple disciplines: Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process
* You must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States
