Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will interface with all mill business units. The Engineer will manage and support capital, maintenance and mill electrical power distribution projects including energy savings, electrical maintenance upgrades, and new power infrastructure.

Key Accountabilities:

* Building effective project teams and aligning objectives with business goals.
* Provide engineering leadership and expertise to accomplish technical alternative reviews, develop sound proposals, implementation and startup of projects.
* Coordinate construction resources to efficiently implement and startup projects.
* Facilitate power distribution systems maintenance for all areas of the mill.
* Manage multiple projects from conception through completion.
* Provide direction and oversight to contract engineering.
* Provide engineering and technical support to mill operations and maintenance.
* Be an advocate of national/local codes, mill specifications, documentation systems and the mill's NEC Subject Matter Expert.
* Become a mill expert in the area of electrical power distribution/generation including 480v, 2.3kv, 4.16kv, 6.9kv, 13.8kv, and up to 69kv Systems.
* Maintain a 5 year capital plan as it relates to power systems.
* Support E&I on-call rotation.

Required Skills

* Technical expertise in the area of electrical power and power distribution
* Experience with PLC programming, Motor Control and AC/DC drives
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Comparative intern or coop experience

Required Experience

* BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Power Systems or Controls Emphasis)
* Have 3-5 years of related industrial experience
* Can demonstrate effective interpersonal, analytical and technical skills
* Can demonstrate familiarity with multiple disciplines: Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process
* You must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States
