Job Description

Responsibilities
The Mgr-Training B2B (Delivery) is an area wide position with responsibility for delivering sales training to all employees within the B2B Sales channel, with a specific focus on NAM/MAM training. The incumbent will teach strategic selling concepts and principles, and will prepare employees to deliver complex, multiple and multi-faceted vendor solutions to meet customer needs. Consistent demonstration of an advanced level of knowledge around small, medium and large enterprise customer needs, behaviors, buying decision processes and data products/services is essential. Training Delivery Delivers all B2B Sales training curriculum to the Business Channel including Business Initial Training, introduction to Strategic Account Management, Selling to Executives, Selling Against the Competition, Operations/Systems Training, Call Reluctance, Sales Negotiations, Strategic Sales Presentations, all B2B Product Training Launches. Utilizes full range of training delivery techniques to match training methods to learning needs. Includes classroom training delivery, blended learning, leading web-based live training sessions, coaching, facilitating interactive learning and consulting sessions based on flexible, up-front and real time assessment of learner needs/gaps. Co-facilitates and supports vendor-led programs focused on advanced selling skills, bundled solutions for all communication needs and joint marketing applications Coaches and consults with B2B sales employees and teams as required ensuring transfer of acquired knowledge and skills to day-to-day job activities. Modifies training delivery based on client's needs and learning effectiveness results. Investigates and implements new delivery methods that will decrease time out of the field for training. Condenses existing classroom time requirements by assigning and monitoring pre- and post class work. Ensures that training effectiveness is not affected with this non-standard approach. Effectively manages pre- and post class activities that promote optimal learning. Performance Consulting & Learning Effectiveness Acts as area point of contact/liaison for all B2B training requirements. Works with Area and Regional leadership to prioritize all B2B training requests Provides consulting services to B2B by engaging B2B leaders/stakeholders and sales teams to identify performance gaps. Designs, adapts and implements learning and performance support solutions to drive business channel revenue, ARPU, loyalty and industry leading wireless service. Conducts field visits and voice of the customer visits with business sales teams. Schedules time in the field with B2B sales representatives and Data Sales Engineers/Managers, and attend regional B2B Associate Director meetings. Does field inspection of sales in the B2B channel to assess learning results and develop improvements in training/learning solutions. Measures and evaluates the learning effectiveness of key training initiatives. Provides results and feedback to upper management and other internal customers. Also provides feedback to each trainee's manager on test scores, overall skill level and areas that need improvement based on class observations. Provides input to Area B2B training reporting/ scorecards/dashboards to measure and communicate key learning and performance indicators. Program / Project Management Responsible for local implementation and program management of at least one key program for their respective Area (e.g.: Business Initial Training). Guides rollout of B2B training programs, including overseeing needs analysis, field feedback, measurement and evaluation. Ensures a customer and stakeholder centric perspective into the cycle of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of the program. Provides feedback to Area and National curriculum development teams on ways to modify existing curriculum and develop job aides based on participant feedback, observation of participant performance and skill gaps. May collaborate on design of materials. Also provides input to curriculum development teams on the creation of refresher training for areas that need be improved in order to meet regional KPIs.


Qualifications:

BA/BS or equivalent work experience Multiple years (2+) of successful B2B sales and sales management experience (MAM/NAM or equivalent level), within VZW preferred Minimum of 2 years of facilitation experience desired Established effective coaching and leadership skills Advanced level of knowledge of large, medium and small enterprise customer needs, behaviors and buying decision process. Working knowledge of advanced and layman data products and services. 50%-75%% travel within Area, flexible work hours; must be able to train before and after normal business hours Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes and manage multiple projects Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills (across all levels of the organization) Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills Detailed oriented Solid understanding of principles of adult learning oASTD or training association is a plus
