Job Description

Varian Medical Systems in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Jr. level Software Developer in the fast growing X-Ray Imaging Components division. This developer will bring value to our team by developing software systems and libraries needed to process and manage flat panel x-ray detectors data used in medical and industrial imaging systems. We are looking for candidates that will thrive in a fast paced, self-directed environment This is an opportunity to work both individually and with our small team of highly skilled software engineers. This position involves writing software and developing/implementing fast algorithms that interact with x-ray hardware components (application and embedded). New graduates (or near graduation) are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities & Requirements

* Experience with C++, C# programming languages
* B.S. in Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science or related field
* Experience with Windows & Linux
* Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
* Development of software specifications & requirements
* Design, build, and unit test object-oriented software in a collaborative environment
* Knowledge/use of Google Test is beneficial
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
