Job Description

The Business Resiliency Analyst Intern will assist onsite Business Resilience Team (Business Continuity (BC) & Disaster Recovery (DR)) with preparation of documentation, spreadsheets & presentations to enhance executive reporting capabilities. This position is responsible for working closely with the Director of Business Resilience and other IT team members to help produce project deliverables.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Participates in documentation and development of enhanced BC/DR metrics & reporting capabilities.
* Participates in documentation and development of enhanced BC/DR strategies, policies, standards and best practices through participation in related planning and design meetings.
* Assists with reporting on change management and IT planning activities.
* Assists with tracking system for the development & maintenance of BC/DR plans, including ensuring the representative operating procedures are fully cross-referenced in those plans.
* Helps with preparing and distributing the monthly status reports.
* Provides assistance, as required, with creation of quarterly management briefing presentation decks.
* Participates in BC/DR exercise activities, documentation and reporting (before, during and after), as required.
* Prepares, maintains and submits regular activity/progress reports and time reporting / management reports in accordance with Valley expectations.
* Performs all Valley internal reporting and information-sharing as required by management; as appropriate participate in Valley Business Resilience planning and review sessions.
* Develops and cultivates strong relationships.
* Learn & continuously improve understanding of BC & DR best practices, methodology and tools.

Required Skills:

* Good relationship management & interpersonal skills.
* Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
* Adequate technical, organizational and process skills required for learning BC/DR methodologies & technologies.
* Good verbal and written communications skills, ability to document/present for both technical and manager levels.
* Results orientation with attention to detail and quality of deliverables.

Required Experience:

* High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
* Concentration in Business or Computer Science preferred.
