Job Title: HR Recruiter

Department: Center of Employment/Human Resources

Days: Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturday and Sunday. Event Driven)

Hours per Week: 27.5 Hours: Between 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Event Driven)

Commitment to Position: 1 year

Work Environment: The HR Recruiter is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with recruiting sources and supplying adequate applicant flow to staff assigned areas. The HR Recruiter acts fairly independent of supervision and reports to the employment supervisor. Results are measured by meeting department goals and objectives, and effectively utilizing recruiting resources. Daily work is balanced through scheduling time in the office and working at scheduled events at schools and in the community.

Job Summary: The HR Recruiter will schedule, oversee and evaluate recruiting events and school visits on a daily basis with his/her assigned areas. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining public relations and supporting the UPS Corporate Mission and Strategy. He/she will assist with and monitor affirmative action goals and recruit applicants to help meet department goals and objectives. The HR Recruiter will also promote employment, educational opportunities and other benefits at UPS.

Job Description: The HR Recruiter will apply workforce planning knowledge to monitor hiring plans and devise recruiting strategies. He/she will develop professional working relationships with key-contacts in the community including area schools. The candidate will execute daily communication plans, coordinate and travel to scheduled recruiting events, maintain and enhance community contacts, and evaluate effectiveness of scheduled events throughout the year. The HR Recruiter will research, prepare and execute presentations in front of large groups, and conduct employment interviews when needed. Candidate must have the ability to work Sunday through Saturday (seven day work week) when necessary, and work various timeframes in a non-traditional work schedule.

Required Skills: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including full-time hours during heavy recruiting periods. Must have the ability to travel (including over-night travel), work weekends and nights, and multi-task. Must be able to set up equipment required for recruiting events, drive to event locations, collaborate and work with other recruiters, and provide recruiting presentations in a public forum.

Additional Skills: HR and Recruiting experience is preferred. Automated Employment (AE) applicant tracking system experience is a plus. Advertising experience desired. Bilingual skills desired. Knowledge and experience with social media outlets such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other web based recruitment is desired. Must be proficient in MS Office products.

Interpersonal Skills: Candidate must have strong networking, public speaking skills and a professional appearance. Ability to interact with the public on all levels, especially the student population. Planning and organizational skills; Decision making skills; Leadership and time-management skills.

Additional Notes: If selected for an interview you must give a 5 minute presentation on a topic of your choice.
