Job Description

The Department of Cell Biology is recruiting and Assistant Instructor. Candidaet should be a senior scientist with a great expertise in microscope design and usage. Job duties involve further development of microscopes and their maintenance, development of protocols for sample preparation and mounting, interaction with collaborators to further improve microscopes and conducting imaging operations with the microscopes. A Ph.D. degree is required for this position.

An effort was made to bring cutting edge optical microscopy technology to the department of Cell biology and such instruments are now being developed in the lab of Dr. Fiolka. Both the development as well as the daily operation require experts in the field of laser physics, optics and microscopy, who can also help to build an interface to biologist to best use the new technology.
