Full Time 40 hours Grade 000 Otolaryngology


BC/BE fellowship trained, Director of Head and Neck Surgery, is sought to join three head and neck surgeons in a growing and successful department of 21 otolaryngologist. The successful candidate will lead clinical and academic efforts for the Department of Otolaryngology in the area of head and neck surgery and lead the head and neck service line at Wilmot Cancer Institute (WCI).

Ideal candidates will be accomplished head and neck oncologic surgeons and scholars at the Associate Professor or Professor level. The Director would lead research and clinical efforts within our multi-disciplinary head and neck cancer service line. An important goal for the Director will be to increase enrollment of head and neck oncology patients on clinical trials and working with leadership of the Cancer Institute towards NCI designation. For candidates with appropriate qualifications, endowment support is available to support their research programs.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a robust clinical practice and strong residency training program at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Our department has an established group of academic faculty practicing in all areas of Otolaryngology. Applicants must contribute to resident and medical student education. Development of a basic, translational, or patient-oriented research program is desired.
