Overview The candidate that is hired for this part-time position will be required to teach at our local campuse in Kapolei, HI. This is not a virtual or online course. Responsibilities 1. As a faculty member you'll be challenged with adding your professional expertise to instruct a curriculum which is centrally developed with specific learning objectives. 2. Provide timely and detailed feedback on a weekly basis and offer student support via classroom, phone, and email. 3. Utilize classroom learning system technology (provided by university), the Internet, and Microsoft Office software. 4. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent. Please click link below to see course description. http://www.phoenix.edu/courses/law531.html Qualifications REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: MUST meet one of the numbered pathways below, as well as any applicable clarifications stated, (including education, area of study and previous work experience, including minimum number of years and types of experience): (1) Juris Doctorate, Master of Laws, and/or Doctorate in Law which includes a Doctor of Judicial Science, Doctor of Jurisprudence, PhD/Law, or a Doctor of Comparative Law AND a current Certificate of Good Standing from the State Bar or highest court of the state indicating active status (unless inactivity is due to judgeship) with eligibility to practice law. (2) Juris Doctorate, Master of Laws, and/or Doctorate in Law which includes a Doctor of Judicial Science, Doctor of Jurisprudence, PhD/Law, or a Doctor of Comparative Law AND a copy of the State Bar web site with current licensure status of active (unless inactivity is due to judgeship) and eligible to practice including the web site address printed on the page. ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATIONS: Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution. If State Bar or highest court of the state indicates inactivity due to judgeship, documentation must be provided. Within 30 days of being hired, faculty teaching graduate level courses must document in their university academic credentials record, a scholarly activity plan or a record of scholarly activity that conforms to Boyer's Model. Those submitting only a plan will then have 11 months to document the successful implementation of that plan.
