Job Description

This position will be focused on processing and accessing the pool of applications from the 115 plus Local Education Authorities for the statewide Farm to School of NC Award program, which has a tight turn around. This is office-based work that will also require communication and engagement with a community-based review team. This position is critical to keep all aspects of the farm to school initiative CEFS running smoothly. Major job responsibilities include: * Management of the evaluation component of this projects * Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders and the general public through email and phone * Related event planning assistance and logistics for related events * Constant follow-up to ensure application pool is being reviewed in a timely manner * Daily management of related listserv * Management of existing materials and material requests for individual involved in this initiative * Data entry * Management of social media files for entire forthcoming year This position is about 25% engagement with stakeholders and 75% processing desk based paperwork. This position will work under the guidance of the CEFS Farm to School Coordinator. Superior organization and time management skills are necessary. Attention to detail, excellent follow-through, ability to think on your feet, and communicate effectively are vital to success in this position. Knowledge and or experience of food systems, evaluation, and/or education related work is key. Candidate must be able to hit the ground running, and be ready to jump into a busy team.
