Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics is recruiting for one part-time and one full-time staff physician to work in the Division of Pulmonary. This position is for a BE/BE pulmonologist who wishes to practice medicine in a clinical/academic climate with the assistance of a skilled multidisciplinary team in a state with a diverse population. The pulmonary center is a dynamic academic program with clinical, teaching and research activities. The Pediatric Pulmonary Center (PPC) is one of six federally funded Pediatric Pulmonary Centers. We are an accredited Cystic Fibrosis Center, and the UNM Children's Hospital is the tertiary referral center for New Mexico. There are additional programs in asthma, rural outreach, pulmonary tele health, pediatric sleep, chronic ventilation, and bronchoscopy.

Conditions of Employment

* Pre-employment background investigation may be required.
* Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
* May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable.
* Must maintain certification status.

Minimum Qualifications

Medical doctor; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. Certification/Licensure State of New Mexico and Federal DEA Certification; Current licensure in designated area of Medical Subspecialty; Board certified or eligible for Board certification in designated area of Medical Subspecialty.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

* BC/BE in Pediatric Pulmonary
* Bronchoscopy experience
