Job Description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time position in the area of nonlinear dynamics and controls. The Post Doctoral Fellow appointment will be for one and a half years. Responsibilities include research as well as coordinating research of several Ph.D. students.Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related area.

Preferred qualifications include:

* Demonstrated theoretical expertise in either nonlinear dynamics or controls.
* A record of interdisciplinary research in the area of complex networks.
* Previous experience in studying biological systems is preferred.
* A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
