Job Description

The Department of English at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a full-time instructor for a one-year renewable, non-tenure track position beginning on August 17, 2020. The ideal candidate will have experience as an instructor of Composition at a post-secondary level. Responsibilities include a 12-hour workload per semester (fall/spring) comprised of teaching and committee work. The typical courses taught in the fall include ENGL 1200 Autobiographical reading/writing courses & ENGL 1150 Composition I or ENGL 1160 Composition and II. In the spring, the typical courses taught include composition courses, autobiographical reading/writing courses, composition, and other English courses as needed.
