Responsibilities*

Facilitate the coordination of Maintenance labor resources (and contractor resources) required to effectively plan and schedule utility system shutdowns and related activities. Analyze shutdown requirements identifying resource needs, estimating time requirements and coordination between Maintenance, contractors and customers. Success is measured by completion of utility shutdowns in a safe manner within scheduled time frames and budgets.

Act as the communications center for all the stakeholders involved in utility shutdowns, coordinating meetings as functionally required. Develop and maintain weekly/monthly shutdown schedules in conjunction with Planning/Scheduling resources, analysis of shutdown priorities, and align as necessary with Maintenance preventative/corrective maintenance efforts. Adjust schedules as necessary based on reviews of job plans and requirements, and communicate schedule changes to all parties.

Identify, analyze and review utility shutdown issues with Maintenance Foremen, Planners and Engineering personnel. Apply craft feedback to improve all aspects of scheduling and operations. Manage data in Maintenance Management system to maintain integrity, perform periodic updates of critical information.

Collaborate with Facilities personnel on work order follow-up, review PM/CM activity and provide feedback. Create work orders, track completions, review labor, material and service entries in the Maintenance Management system.

Project Management Duties (on assigned Hospital projects);

* Schedule and chair construction kickoff, progress and activation meetings.
* Create and distribute minutes from project meetings.
* Add activation activities to the project schedule.
* Assist in the process of scheduling the installation of equipment, furniture, signage, telecommunications, computers and any necessary inspections (Clinical Engineering, BFS and HFES, Materiel Services, etc.).
* Monitor project progress relative to schedule and budget and notify the Design Manager of any discrepancies.
* Gather and distribute project close-out documents.

Required Qualifications*

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years of facility maintenance/project management experience.
* Basic understanding of computerized maintenance management systems with emphasis on planning, scheduling and estimating.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Organizational skills including budget and schedule management.

Desired Qualifications*

* Knowledge of University policies and procedures is desired.
* Reasonable knowledge of management principles, practice and methodology.
* Experience in Facility maintenance and operations.
