The KU Office of Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the operations of the University and its controlled affiliated corporations. we help the University accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of of risk management, control and governance processes. We are seeking performance-minded individuals with critical thinking and problem solving skills for the internal audit intern position. The purpose of the internal audit intern is to work under close supervision of the internal audit director, audit manager, or senior auditor to assess key University processes and programs along with related systems of internal control. Interns may assist with IT risk assessment activities conducted within the University and perform other duties to advance Internal Audit's mission.

Interns may have the option of working at either the KU Lawrence Campus or the KU Medical Center in Fairway, KS.

Required Qualifications

* Must be a current undergraduate student or accepted to a graduate school at the time of application for the internship.
* Must remain in academic good standing throughout the internship.
* Excellent command of English language, usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading skills as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

* Undergraduate and/or work-related experiences in areas of internship interests.
* Knowledge and experience in Microsoft products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Effective verbal and written communications.
