Financial Aid Counselor

Enrollment Management.

This counselor position works with the University of Idaho scholarship program by coordination of scholarship awarding with university wide scholarship committees, advising and
counseling students and parents on scholarship opportunities, and processing of scholarship awards. This position requires a bachelors degree in a related field; preferred Master's degree in an area that involves working with student personnel, counseling, or related field. Salary range: $17.40 per hour or higher commensurate with experience.

Position Summary:

Advise and counsel students and their parents concerning eligibility for financial aid, budget development, entrance and exit counseling and special circumstances. Present scholarship and financial aid information to audiences on and off campus. Develop, analyze and revise a variety of reports that determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial aid.

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

-Coordinating outreach events and conducting formal presentations.
-Advising current and prospective students and parents on eligibility criteria, special circumstances, budgeting and professional judgment.
