Program Manager 
College of Business & Economics

The Idaho State-level SHIP evaluation is a $3.6 million 3 year federally funded effort incorporated into the overall 4 year $40 million Idaho Statewide Healthcare Innovation Plan (SHIP). This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling eight years; preferred experience working in higher education and/or higher education sponsored program administration.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree and four years’ experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling eight years. 


  • Demonstrated experience managing and evaluating a research, education and/or business program or initiative. 
  • Demonstrated experience making strategic administrative and financial decisions affecting program operations. 
  • Ability to work independently managing a fast paced, dynamic and complex educational, research and/or business program. 
  • Possesses and demonstrates interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work independently and in a multi-layered team environment while fostering positive relationships, teamwork, and cooperation with students, faculty, staff, and administrators across campus and with stakeholders at public, private, and governmental offices and agencies. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and applying laws, rules and regulations.
  • Experience with various software packages, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project etc. 
  • Ability to travel and work weekends or after regular business hours and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education and/or higher education sponsored program administration. 
  • Experience working with Federal and/or State grants agencies. 
  • Knowledge of grants management techniques, methods and concepts. 
  • Experience with analyses of current and proposed federal and State legislation related to health and social services.

Salary range: $52,000 - $56,160 per year.
