Job Description:

* Ensure the safety of all children at the FVC.
* Observe supervised visits that are coordinated by qualified staff providing oversight for the children in a safe environment.
* Document all activities of the visit onto the visit report, which is reviewed by qualified staff.
* Assist in providing feedback to parents following the visit.
* Provide positive role model for parents.
* Provide the FVC case manager an oral summary of each visit monitored.
* Observe the intake process with a qualified staff member.
* Assist in greeting families/visitors at the start of visit and assigning a visit room.
* Assist in maintaining a clean safe environment for families.
* Posses' excellent communication skills while working with agency staff clients and volunteers.
* Maintain accurate record of hours.

Minimum Requirements:

This is a Federal Work Study Position. Only applicants with a valid Federal Work Study award should apply.

The intern must possess excellent communication skills while working with agency staff, management, clients, and outside providers. They must be creative and outgoing, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Organization and time management skills required. Must be able to maintain an ethical and professional manner, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

The student must also be able to work within a bureaucratic system. Students may be required to lift up to 25lbs (if physically able) and stand for periods of time and bend (if physically able).

Preferred Qualifications: Seeking a degree in a Social Service field. Special Instructions to Applicants:
