About Information Technology / Enterprise Application Services

Dedicated to quality, innovation, engagement, integrity and inclusion, Information Technology/Enterprise Application Services (IT/EAS) maintains the highest standards in providing a wide range of software solutions to units throughout the University. IT/EAS maintains software systems that support the University's core business as well as develops custom applications in partnership with DU departments to enhance services to our community. Our services range from consultation to implementation to continuous support of software solutions. Services include:

* Software implementation, support, and development
* Secure access to institutional information
* Database development and administration
* Data interfaces
* Document Management
* Workflow solutions
* Business Process analysis and improvements
* Consultation with DU departments on software development or purchase
* Data Warehouse administration, reporting and data mining
* Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Dashboards
* Application configuration and support

IT/EAS ensures the current and future software applications are efficient and effective, maintains an appropriate balance between leading-edge activities and core business processes, and provides appropriate information access and data security.

IT/EAS is responsible for all aspects of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Database Management, Data Warehouse administration, Information Analytics (BI), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Learning Management System (LMS), Document Management and Workflow.

Position Summary

The Advancement Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Enterprise Software Development-IT/Enterprise Application Services (EAS) within the central technology division of Information Technology. The Systems Analyst is physically located in the Advancement Division and works in close collaboration with the application developers in EAS and the Advancement staff.

The Advancement Systems Analyst is primarily responsible for the configuration and support of multiple applications (e.g. CRM Advance, CAMPUSCALL, 12Twenty, iModules, etc.). This position will interface with Advancement, software vendors, and EAS application developers to maintain and support the applications and interfaces. This position will also be responsible for responding to production support issues, coordinating system enhancements and upgrades, maintaining the interfaces between CRM Advance and Banner and other third-party solutions, managing cross-functional projects, and providing day to day application support to the Advancement team. Funding for this position has been identified for two years, continuation of the position beyond two years is contingent on future funding availability.

Essential Functions

CRM Advance Support

* As the University of Denver moves from Banner Advancement (legacy solution) to Ellucians CRM Advance. Support the complete integration of data between CRM Advance and other Banner modules (such as Finance, Human Resources, Student, etc.).
* Partner with colleagues in Advancement, IT/EAS, and Ellucian representatives to achieve integration of 3rd party data solutions with CRM Advance. Currently, this includes iModules, 12Twenty, CAMPUSCALL, and others.
* Work closely with Advancement colleagues and others to develop workflows within and manage initial and ongoing user permissions for CRM Advance.

Advancement Systems Management

* Serve as the technical liaison between the Advancement team and EAS. And as a functional subject matter expert on Advancement systems.
* Provide application support to the campus-wide Advancement team.
* Perform functional configuration tasks to satisfy requests from end users for enhancements and fixes.
* Work with EAS to coordinate design, testing, and deployment of system enhancements.
* Troubleshoot, identify, and track software issues to ensure resolution.
* Develop recommendations and coordinate issue resolution with Enterprise Application Services and software vendors.
* Document and communicate problem resolutions.
* Analyze current processes and tools.
* Make recommendations for development, improvement, or simplification.
* In partnership with EAS Training Specialist and Advancement Operations staff, develop appropriate training materials to support end user training. Research, configure, and schedule standardized reports within the applications.
* Create ad-hoc reports or data queries to support system needs.
* Responsible for multiple projects or large complex projects with cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree.
* 3-5 years of experience as an application administrator or business analyst.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer information systems, management information systems or other related field.
* Experience in administration and configuration of Advancement systems such as Banner Advancement, CRM Advance, Raisers Edge, etc., including managing user permissions.
* Experience working in a non-profit, or similar complex setting.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
