Student Worker

IMPACT Direct Service

 

We are hiring for IMPACT Innovation. IMPACT is a cutting edge service provider for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) housed on UC's campus. This is the opposite of a desk job! We are looking for people that love to be on the go - building relationships on UC's campus and with the Clifton community all while mentoring and teaching a young adult with ASD. 

 

This is a rewarding and fun job. We are looking for individuals to work 15-20 hours (including summer hours).  The program runs from 9-3 M-F throughout the year.

 

Position Title: Direct Service Provider, IMPACT Innovation in Advancement and Transition Services in the School of Education 

 

Focus: IMPACT Innovation is a community based adult day service program for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the University of Cincinnati. IMPACT Innovation services focus on vocational training, life long learning, and health and wellness. The direct service provider will support program development, provide direct service (i.e., vocational training, communication training, social skill training) to IMPACT Innovation participants, and assist with data collection and analysis.  The direct service provider will provide the supports needed for individuals with significant disabilities to thrive in a community setting.

Commitment: 15-20 hours per week 

  

Responsibilities:

1.     Develop and implement evidence based practices in a community setting

2.     Implementation of positive behavior supports

3.     Task analyze community and employment activities 

4.     Implement communication instruction 

5.     Implement social skill instruction 

6.     Data collection and analysis

7.     Other duties as assigned
