This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.
Hoxworth Blood Center seeks an RN to perform therapeutic apheresis procedures including peripheral blood stem cell collections and other specialized procedures on patients within our community. RNs are responsible for monitoring these patients throughout the treatment. RNs also participate in research protocols. Work involves both adult and pediatric patients. Traveling between hospitals within our community to perform procedures is required. Work schedule includes some weekends, evenings and on-call duty is required. This job requires a positive attitude, excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to develop good customer-service relationships.
Graduation from an accredited registered nurse program, diploma or degree is required. Possess a current nursing license in Ohio, Kentucky or Indiana is required with the ability to obtain licenses through reciprocity to all 3 states. Experience in critical care, emergency nursing preferred. Training or experience as an Apheresis or Dialysis Nurse is desirable.
